The Beach Cactus Series was inspired by hundreds of blossoming Prickly Pear Cactuses along the bay in Hampton Bays.  Seeing so many blossoms reaching toward the mid-June sun, appearing as offerings from creation, the artist began to capture them in small watercolor studies, returning each June to record their short blooming season.
